Net Control Operator Training, August 30th, 2025
Marion County ARES, in cooperation with Lake County ARES and Lake County Emergency Management is proud to offer a Net Control Operator training session on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at the Lake County Emergency Operations Center. Training will take place between 9am and 12pm. Breaks will be provided. Please bring something to take notes with. Registrants completing the class will receive a certificate of completion after the class via email.
Completion of this course will provide you with all the "need-to-knows" about how to be an NCO, and will help build confidence in your skills. Remember, for those of you who are wanting to progress to Level-3 (Advanced) in the ARES program, being a Net Control Operator at least once is required under the new ARRL / ARES Training Plan Taskbook for Level-3.
After the class, Jamey McKinley W4CGX, Lake County Emergency Coordinator, will be conducting ICS205 and PACE plan training. This session should run for an hour. For more information, or to sign up, please visit https://www.aresmcfl.org/ncotrain.
